How to Tag Gifs for People with Epilepsy: A Masterpost
Hello Tumblr! I’m here to talk about something near and dear to my heart: tagging gifs that could trigger an epileptic seizure. This is a huge issue (google SUDEP if you don’t believe me), and yet it doesn’t seem to get much attention from the community at large. Very often I see people claim “I don’t know what to tag!” and so they either tag every gif or none at all. That’s why this post was made. I’m here to educate you and spread awareness.
If you follow the ‘read more’, I’ve gathered a whole army of gifs with the help of the lovely eyelash that will help you understand what should and should not be tagged. WARNING: If you are a photosensitive epileptic or bothered by gifs in general, please do not click the link below. The gifs within are many and quite triggering.
Screw it Just ordered the Hogarth book.
the “Dynamic Figure Drawing” book that is…always heard people talking about it, wanted to get my hands on it and see, and found it for a reasonable price…
…but now I’m ALSO interested in Burne Hogarth’s “Dynamic anatomy” book…so…yeah…anyways I think the wisest thing is to wait until I get the first one and see what I think…
Eeehhh I had that book and just sold it, I find Hogarth’s anatomy guides a bit.. Iffy. He’s good for the basics, but be wary of some of his foreshortening and perspective bits and that he tends to have more muscular models than a lot of other anatomy artists (not that that last bit’s a bad thing!)
I’m a big fan of George Bridgman for anatomy guides, his drawings aren’t very polished, but he takes everything down to basic shapes and builds it up from there.
But yeah, not saying that Hogarth’s all bad, just take a careful look at some of his drawings before referencing from them :’D
Also, re: the dragon game
I really don’t like the random progenitor dragon that I got. It’s hilarious how unsuitable he is. I don’t even like the Fae dragon. (Hilarious mental images of him trying join my hulking female’s clan as a suitor… just, no.)
Since I can’t sell or trade the little fucker, I’ll “exalt”* him away once I get another dragon. Ideally a first-gen male of some kind (random egg), so I can make more dragons. >:c
*since you/your faction don’t get any benefit from this “exalting”, which is lame, I’m going to assume that Tanith simply eats him. MUNCH MUNCH
ALSO ALSO Plink and I were talking about how the hell would those two breed last night (we were admiring how fricking huge your guardian is)
And I think the unanimous decision (well okay, not unanimous, Plink said it and I went “YES GOOD”) was that it’d be some kind of male anglerfish deal on the Fae’s half.
