O hey Emily.
dinosaursandumbrellas replied to your post: So I met new people today
This is how us Internet people make friends, man.
True, maybe I should have titled that “SO I ACTUALLY WENT OUTSIDE TODAY”
and I said goodbye with:
“You have tumblr? Can we swap URLs?”
Wow thank you! And the best advice I can give you is practice practice practice! Draw from photos, draw from life, look at some anatomy guides. A few resources I’d recommend are Posemaniacs’ 30 Second Drawing tool (they also have some great pose references on that website), Barcsay’s Anatomy for the Artist and ANY of Bridgman’s work. And also don’t be afraid to ask for critique, other people are more able to spot mistakes in your own work, regardless of whether they’re artists or not, but if you do want artist critique then I’m strongly recommend setting up a sketchbook on Conceptart, there are a lot of pros on there so it may seem a bit intimidating at first, but I have never met a lovelier artist community, so long as you show an interest in improving your own work, they’ll be more than happy to help you along!
Practice is the main thing though, best of luck!
So much for that, Livestream keeps lagging and crashing for me, will have to stream later, sorry guys!
